Firefighters Quickly Douse Blaze In Hillsdale Home Under Renovation

Authorities are probing the cause of a pre-dawn fire Monday in a house undergoing renovations in Hillsdale.

The call to the split-level residence on Kinderkamack Road at Lawrence Street came in at 5:11 a.m. Aug. 14, Hillsdale Fire Chief Dan Schuster said.

It "burned through" to the second floor, the chief said in a release.

"The fire was knocked down in less than 15 minutes and placed under control at 5:41 a.m.," Schuster said.

No injuries were reported.
